Background:
Jan
Rose
Jan has over 25 years experience in banking and bank management, having
served as a branch manager and bank vice president for Marine Midland (now HSBC),
Citibank, Glendale Federal, and Cal-Fed (now Citibank) and serving on
committees to format educational programs for management trainees. Jan
left banking after the family relocated to Boise in 2000 and she started
a home based business, Star Financial Services, handling the financial,
accounting and personal business transactions for a group of clients who
are employed as professional athletes. The fast paced life and
extensive travel schedule of these individuals needed a business manager
that had the experience, knowledge, personal involvement and flexibility
to handle the requirements of their business and personal finances,
relocation, and various new and ever changing responsibilities. Jan had
also gained valuable insight and experience having been elected
President of the Morgan Hill, CA school board and Chamber of Commerce.
She worked to blend the needs of growth and residential developers with
the cost of expanding community services. She has also served as a
board member of her HOA and for three years worked for one of the
principal property management firms in the Treasure Valley handling the
accounting and tax preparation responsibilities for the company and a
neighborhood manager for 4 of their communities. Experienced in the preparation and
execution of operational budgets and financial reports. When approached
by her own HOA and asked to consider taking over their business administration, Star Property Management was born. Over
a relatively short period of time, Star Property Management has been
invited to take over the management of 27 residential housing communities totaling over 2,500 properties.
Ed
Rose
Ed Rose was involved in manufacturing and business operations for over
25 years as a plant manager, general manager and Corporate Director of
Safety and Environmental Issues for a national food manufacturer. A
corporate takeover by an off shore corporation and a subsequent corporate reorganization allowed Ed to start a career in real
estate in 2001. After a short time in general real estate, Ed's experience in management focused
his interest in new home communities. Desiring to gain the professional
knowledge needed to develop new home communities and to work with
developers, contractors and home builders to shape the housing future of
the quickly developing Treasure Valley, Ed spent four years expanding
his knowledge by enlisting in the educational programs offered through the National
Association of Home Builders. He has obtained a MIRM (Member, Institute
of Residential Marketing) the most prestigious designation offered by
the Institute. Currently there are less than 600 individuals in the country, and only 8 in Idaho who have obtained this designation.
Ed is one of two individuals in Idaho to obtain the MCSP designation
(Master Certified New Home Sales Professional) and also has achieved a
CMP (Certified New Home Marketing Professional). These designations mark completion of educational programs that focus on
the successful planning, development, construction and marketing of
residential housing developments. He has acquired all necessary courses to apply for a broker's license
should he desire.
Ed has 20 yrs. experience managing a production facility with over 250
employees. Pump equipment and control systems knowledge has proven
valuable in working with the required maintenance of pressurized
irrigation systems. He has years of proven experience developing
operational budgets and handling monthly financial reporting,
development of a capital project budget and first hand experience
managing capital projects in a financially responsible manner.
